The prestigious Lonely Planet brand has released its list of the ten cities of the world that should not be missed next year.


1. Washington (United States)


Washington has been the best valued city in the world by Lonely Planet. This city is famous for its museums and historical monuments.

Next year, 2.015, will be the one hundred and fifty aniversary of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Next year the tourists will find a cultural programming related with this anniversary.

2. El Chaltén (Argentina)


El Chaltén is inside the Argentine region of Patagonia, and is the youngest city in Argentina, is only thirty years old.

With only 2,000 inhabitants is considered the city of El Chalten as the Argentine capital of trekking.
In this city we can find glaciers, lakes, Lake Viedma and the Fitz Roy Hill.

3. Milan (Italy)


Milan is the international capital of fashion and is the richest city in all Italy.

This year 2015 in Milan will be the Universal Exhibition. This Universal Exhibition will be installed in an area with one million meters, and it will be decorated according to the Roman Empire.

4. Zermatt (Switzerland)

This Swiss city is known for its facilities for skiing. In addition the tranquility and quiet is assured (only electric cars are allowed).

Next year marks the cent fifty years since the english Edward Whymper managed to reach the Summit of the Matterhorn. Next summer will open the Hörnli Hut, a shelter located at 3.260 m.

5. La Valletta (Malta)


La Valletta is the capital of Malta. In the years 1980 La Valletta, was recognized by Unesco as patrimony of the humanity by its architecture. In the year 2,015 held the 450 years of the great site. This day recalls the year 1,565 in which, a few Knights of the order of Malta resisted the Turkish army. On September 8, it is the day of victory.
